Friday

• Esther came over and we went to the Galleria to have dinner with Jen and Wayne.
• After we ate, we called it a night early since Esther, Jen and Wayne were going cherry picking the next day.

Saturday

• My family and I drove to Newport Beach to attend my cousin's wedding (which, luckily,  is the reason why I didn't go cherry picking).
• The wedding itself was really nice and they had the ceremony outside in the garden.   Normally, this would really add a nice effect but it was 90 degrees outside and I was in a suit.  
• We ended up staying until 11 and then we went home.  I'd like to once again congratulate Brett (he has a cool name) and Dawn on their new life as husband and wife.

Sunday

• Esther, Jen, Wayne and I went to Marina Del Rey and ate at this Italian restaurant.  
• After we ate, we rented bikes and rode through Venice Beach for about an hour.
• Later on at night, Esther and I went to Wayne's and played cards for a few hours.

Monday

• I picked up Esther and we went to Universal Studios since we were able to get in for free.
• It was hot and packed (a horrible combination). 
• Afterward, we went to the Kabuki's in Burbank.   Maybe it's just me but the sashimi there tastes a little bit better than the one in Cerritos.  
• Once we finished eating, I dropped Esther off and met up with everyone at Wayne's.  We played cards and foosball.

Tuesday

• Happy Fourth of July!
• Esther and I went to Charles' bbq
• Afterward, we went to my aunt's for dinner, who was also having a bbq.
• Met up with Shane, Dave and Charles and watched fireworks near Wilson Park.

Friday

• Esther came over and we picked up dinner at Numero Uno
• Went to Wayne's and hung out for a few hours before calling it an early night.

Saturday

• Picked up Esther and went to eat an early father's day dinner with the family, aunt, uncle, grandparents, and the cousins at a Chinese restaurant.
• Went to Best Buy and purchased the Motorola Razor.  They had a special where if you sign up for a two year deal, you get the phone and a bluetooth headset for $50.    I had to change my plan and my number (message me on mypsace or send me an e-mail if you want my number). 
•   Went to Jen's and hung out for a few hours with everyone.

Happy Father's Day!  

• Esther and I drove over to UCLA to watch my brother graduate.
• Afterward,  the whole family (plus some of my brother's friends) went to Macaroni Grill for dinner.

• Esther came over and we went to eat at Pick Up Stix.
• Went to Wayne's and hung out for a few hours before calling it an early night

Saturday

• Went to Tony's barbeque in the afternoon for a bit
• Went to Black Angus for dinner
• Dropped off Esther and was supposed to hang out with a group of ex co-workers from ING.   I ended up getting lost and when I finally found the place, there was a $20 cover charge
• Instead of paying, I went back to Tony's and hung out

Friday

• Went to an early mother's day dinner with my family, grandparents and relatives at Lucille's.
• After dinner, picked up Shane and went to Wayne's.
• Played cards for a few hours and called it an early night.

Saturday

(Esther was able to get an awesome deal for Magic Mountain.    For $15, we received a ticket, a Hurricane harbor ticket,  a lunch buffet, a parking pass (good for only car though), and two extra hours in the park after it closed.   Apparently, Cedar Sinai was having some type of appreciation day, which explained why everything was ridiculously cheap.)

• Met up at Shane's since he was driving us all to Magic Mountain. 
• Dave came by shortly after and we took off to pick up Esther.
• Once we picked up Esther, we went to Magic Mountain
• Once we got there, Shane, Dave and I purchased a fast pass since it was good for a lot of rides, including Tatsu
• Before we started we got on any rides, we went to to the free lunch buffet.  It consisted of hot dogs, corn, salad, mac and cheese,  and fried chicken.  I think there may have been more but I don't remember.
• Went on Viper, Tatsu, Goliath, Scream, and X.  
• Shane, Dave and I ended up using our extra time in the park to get on X.  
• On a side note, Tatsu is incredible but it really will scare the crap out of you if you're afraid of heights (which I am).   Yep, I screamed like a little girl on that ride.

• Afterward, went to some country bar in Long Beach

• Went to my uncle's suprise 50th birthday at Lava Lounge
• Ate dinner at L &L's with Shane and Charles
• Went to Kai (a sushi bar that just recently opened) to watch the Dodger game.
• Went to Shane's afterward and played cards

Sunday

• Esther came over and we went to the pirate show in Buena Park for Jen's birthday
• Afterward, went to downtown Disney and hung out for a while.

Friday

• Since Esther had to wake up early the next day, I hung out with some of my old co-workers from ING Direct.
• Left around 12
• Went to Shane's and hung out for a bit.

Saturday

• Went to Knotts for dinner with my parents and grandma
• Esther came down with everyone since they were planning to see a movie in Hollywood (didn't go through).
• Met up at Shane's and played Monopoly for a few hours (I hate that game!)

Friday

• Esther and I ate at Pat & Oscars for dinner
• Went to Wayne's and played Cranium with everyone
• Played a few games of foosball

Saturday

*Since this event was special to me, I thought I'd add a little more thought (but not much more) that just bulletpointing what happened* Today was my cousin's wedding.  The wedding itself was in this building that really had a Japanese feel to it.  Anyway, I picked up Esther and we got there around 5.   I saw a lot of family members I haven't seen in a very long time.    As a surprise during the ceremony, the ceiling opened up.    The reception was literally in the next room over.  Dinner was buffet style and since one of the maid of honors sat at our table, we were one of the first ones to go.   While we were eating, they played the slide show (which my dad made I might add).   Afterward, they had the mother/son dance and the daughter/father dance.    Esther and I left a little earlier than expected because I had to take my grandmother home.   Once I dropped her off, Esther and I picked up something to eat at Gardena bowl(the buffet wasn't enough heheh) and then I dropped her off at home.

• Went to the gym
• Just like the last week, that's about it.  I wonder if I'll ever be productive on Sunday's.

Friday

• Ate dinner at Mika's with Esther.
• Went to Shane's and played cards.

Saturday

• Dropped off my cousin's wedding gift
• Went to Pechanga with Shane and Esther
• Met up with Charles, Joe (Charles' friend) and Dave
• Surprisingly didn't play anything at all; just watched everyone play
• Left around 11:30
• Went with Shane to the Evangelista's to play poker

• Went to the gym
• That's about it.

Friday

Esther came over and we picked up Numero Uno's for dinner.  After we ate, we met up with everyone at HQ's and stayed there for a few hours before going home.

Saturday

I picked up Esther and we went to eat dinner at Koji's.  After we ate, we met up with Jen, Charles and Shane at this karaoke place not too far away.  We sang for a few hours and then went to Wayne's to play foosball.   I haven't played this game in a long time but it was actually pretty fun.  We played for a few hours and then I had to take Esther home.  I came back and played cards for a bit with Jesse, Derek, Shane, Aaron and Wayne.

It's truly amazing how often I waste my Sunday's.   At least I cleaned my room today.   I was long overdue.   Now I just need to wash my truck but I'm always fearful the moment I do, it's going to rain.  I just have that kind of luck I guess.

Chinese New Year is coming up.   The food.  The money!  Wait, I'm not Chinese.   Bummer.

Making History

In case you didn't know, Kobe had 81 points tonight against the Raptors.  The last time anyone even broke 70 was in 1994 when David Robinson did it.

Esther came over and we went to L & L's for dinner.  After we ate, we went to Wayne's and played cards for a few hours with everyone. 

Saturday

 rained a lot, Esther and I ended up staying in.  We picked up dinner at Pick Up Stix and that was the only time we went out.   After we finished eating, we played online Yachtzee with Jen and Wayne.  

Sunday

Jen and Wayne came over in the moring to pick up Esther and I since we were going to the Orange County Swapmeet.   After we finished there, we picked up sandwiches from Lee's Sandwiches.  Around 5, Esther and I went with my family to Knott's Berry Farm to eat dinner.   Once we finished eating, Esther and I went to Wayne's and played cards with everyone for a bit before calling it a night.

I picked up Esther and we went to eat dinner with my family at Kinkaids.  After dinner, we met up with everyone at Wayne's.   After the New Year countdown, we hung out for a little longer before going home. 

Sunday

Esther and I went to my family's annual potluck.  It's normally at our house but for certain reasons, it was at my aunt's this year.    The food was excellent  like normal.   Afterward, a few of us played poker.  It's not your typical poker though.  We played all kinds of weird games.  I don't feel like typing them all out now but you can ask me if you want.  After we finished playing, Esther and I went to Shane's and taught him the weird games we learned.  Charles' came by shortly after and we taught him as well.

Just a quick update of my Christmas and Christmas Eve.  On Christmas Eve, Esther and I had dinner at Pick Up Stix.  After that, we hung out for a few hours before calling it an early night.  On Christmas, my family and I had our annual Christmas breakfast.   After we finished, we went home and opened our presents.  I now have a dvd burner and can finally start using the blank dvd's Charles got me for my birthday.   Around 5, my family and I went to my aunt's Christmas potluck that she has every year.   I left a little earlier than I normally do though because I wasn't feeling too well.   Overall, it was another awesome Christmas.

I'm back from Vegas.

Wednesday

Esther and I headed off to Vegas around 12:30 pm.   We made a few stops and finally reached New York New York around 6 pm (we wouldn't made it much earlier if not for the two major traffic jams we hit along the way).   Once we checked in, we headed over to the Bellagio for dinner.   After dinner, we went to downtown and gambled for a few hours before heading back to New York New York to call it a night. 

Thursday

Once we woke up, we drove over to Sam's Town for lunch.   We initially had plans to play bingo there but that didn't go through.   Instead, we gambled for  bit and then went back to the hotel to take a nap.   After we woke up, we drove over to the Wynn for dinner.   I personally think the Bellagio's buffet is so much better than the Wynn's but that's just my opinion.   Anyway, after we ate, we went to downtown and walked around.   We tried this new game called Texas Holdem Bonus.   It's pretty fun but die hard holdem fanatics should not play this game.  Once we finished gambling, we went back to the hotel and walked over to the MGM Grand to check it out.  Neither of us had ever been there before.    After we finished walking around, we headed up to the room and went to sleep.

Friday

After Esther and I checked it out, we headed over to Primm.  We ate the buffet there and then went shopping at the outlet stores.   Once we finished shopping, we headed for home.  On the way home, we stopped at the mall in Arcadia since I wanted to pick up a present for my grandmother.    I opted to buy her these contour slippers they sell at Sharper Image.   Once I made my purchase, we went to eat at this sushi place in the mall.  It was that bad but they are kind of skimpy when it comes to the rice.  The fish was really fresh though so that made up for it.   After we finished eating, I dropped Esther off and went home.

Friday

My ex co-workers from ING Direct invited me to a Christmas party so I ended up going.   It was good to see them.   The only bummer was that I thought there was going to be some poker involved but that never happened.   It's okay though because I still had a great time hanging out with everyone.

Saturday

In the afternoon, I hung out with Mike for a few hours.  Afterward, Esther came over and we went to meet up with everyone at Jen's.  Once everyone got to Jen's, we went to go eat at the Cheesecake Factory.  The wait ended up being over an hour but the worst part was that the beeper thing they gave us wasn't even working right.   Anyway, after we ate, we went to Shane's and played Taboo for a bit.    Once Charles came over, we had our Secret Santa and everyone exchanged their gift.   Jen ended up being my Secret Santa and I got a Best Buy gift card and a pack of Bowman basketball cards.    There's a funny story behind that but I don't feel like typing it out.  Just ask me if you're curious.   After the Secret Santa exchange, we played Taboo for a few more hours before going home.

Sunday

Esther came over and we picked up dinner at Numero Uno's.   After we ate, we watched the World Series of Poker for a few hours before calling it a night.

Vegas Baby Vegas! 

This Wednesday, Esther and I will be off to Las Vegas for three days, two nights.  We'll be staying at New York New York.

Friday

Esther came over and we picked up dinner at Numero Uno's.  After we ate, we went to Shane's.  Jen and Wayne came by and we played cards.  Charles came by shortly after.   Once everyone was over at Shane's, we picked names for our yearly Secret Santa.  After we made our selections, we played cards for a little longer before calling it an early night.

Saturday

I picked up Esther and we went to pick up Shane.   Once we picked him up, we headed over to the Ports of Calls to check out the 43rd Annual Los Angeles Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade.   It's basically consists of dozens of boats float along the parade route, and showcasing how well they can decorate their vessel.  Some of them were pretty nice but some of them were horrible.   Anyway, after the parade, we dropped off Shane and went to eat at Burnt Tortilla.   Once we finished eating, we met up at Shane's again.  Jen and Wayne came by shortly after and we all played cards. 

Sunday

Esther and I went to Del Amo to get a little Christmas shopping done.   I got most of my shopping done but I still have to buy a few more things.     After we finished our shopping, I took her home and here I am.

This past Tuesday was my last day at ING Direct.   After work was over, some of my co-workers took me out to get sushi at Kabuki's.   I'm going to miss them.  The reason I quit ING is because I got a job offer at Interlingua.    It's a company that does translations for other companies.  I'm a customer service/marketing assistant there so I'll basically be wearing multiple hats.   I think this will be a good opportunity to learn a lot of things so I hope it works out.
