  • So a bad situation turned out to be better than I thought.   A few nights ago, my Ionic Breeze machine wasn't working.   This brought mucho concern to me since I barely got it for Christmas in 2002.

I called Sharper Image to see what I could do.   They informed to bring in the unit and they could replace (thank you five year warranty).     My pop and I walked in to the store with the breeze machine and took it to the front counter.  I told the sales person what I was told over the phone and he took the machine to the back.   He came out with a brand spanking new unit.   It was that simple.   He offered me a 10 year warranty for $45 and I decided to purchase it.   The great part is if my machine ever breaks down and my unit is discontinued, I'll get an upgraded model instead.    Plus 10 years is a long time and you never know when something might go wrong.

If any of you plan to buy an Ionic Breeze machine, then I definitely would recommend you buy it at Sharper Image.

In other news, I received a phone call to possibly set up an interview.  I missed the initial call, and returned the call when I had the chance.   I didn't get through to the person that called but was able to briefly talk to one of the main guys.   He said that Irene (the lady that called) would call me back in a little to set up an interview.   After a hour passed, I decided to take the initiative and call her.   She picked up this time, and told me she would check to see when she would be available.    Normally, I get put on hold but she opted to call me back.

Two and a half hours later, I called back since it was almost six and I assumed the company would be closing.   The guy that answered the first time picked up and informed me that Irene was gone for the day.  I was like WTF (well, in my head at least) and asked if she had set up an interview to meet with me.   He couldn't find any notes, and told me to call back the next day.    Yeah, it sucks.

  • some companies dont seem to understand that when you write you are available ASAP on the application that means you really want to work ASAP... because in actuality.. even after u get the job, it takes them about a week or 2 to put you in the schedule...  then you have to do training...  then theres the late first pay check.  grrr.  i swear* they just need to be more organized.
